Eric James is an Urban Planner who is the UX Developer for TransitScreen. He has five years of land-use planning and project management experience working with cities and real estate groups in the Twin Cities and San Francisco Bay Area. An avid voice in urban planning+technology, he launched a successful Kickstarter campaign for a Minneapolis transit app and blogs regularly on urban planning issues at Twin Citian. He freelances and consults on front-end web development and UI/UX design for local cities, non-profits, and startup companies.
Eric has a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and a B.A. in Urban Studies, Minor Design & Architecture from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He collaborated with the Institute for Local Self Reliance to develop interactive maps on national broadband and solar energy. Eric enjoys good coffee, bicycling, and plays the clarinet.
